Finally… I’ve listed 3 new bags… Deanne has (smartly) recommended that I should add my pillows and new line of “Itty Bitties” SLOWLY. Anyone who knows me, knows that I do NOT operate SLOWLY. She is wise though. And I shall add a few at a time and be patient. Sigh.
However… here’s the stuff I just listed. They’re more intricate than their predecessors, but I heart a challenge!

So I think I got a little burnt out – made 18 bags in about 3 months… but now I’m back at it, baby! Here’s a preview of the soon-to-be-professionally-shot newest bag from WhimsyGarden:

This is the newest of my creations and it’s made especially for my mama 
I took a lot of time to search far and wide for the precise fabric that was a combination of her classic style and my eclectic style. I’m nervous about giving it to her tomorrow, though she’ll be absolutely thrilled with it because I made it (she makes me blush). She’d also asked for some of my swanky new business cards, so I also made a tiny swanky-business-card-holder pouch. I am a tad bit of a dork.

Am super excited – this week my work is being displayed at the Black Iris Gallery in adorable Sandwich, IL! The annual event is called Girls’ Nite Out and is from 5-8pm on Thursday, May 7. This is my first official showing! Yay!
Also, WhimsyGarden is growing! In addition to my one-of-a-kind bags, I’m also doing a line of 16″ square pillows – was a great idea from a sweet friend (thanks, Christinie!). Click here to see the Black Iris Gallery Facebook page.

The “details” shoot for my Etsy bags went awesome! My poor photographer was pretty worn out by the end of the 3 hour ordeal. But, chop, chop! Had to send him to start the post-processing! We decided that we are gonna change up how we shoot the bags from now on… had used available light before, but have since decided to use his lighting system. He did a super keen job tho! Thanks Hubby Chris! You da bomb! And of course his trusty photo assistant, puggy Tessa, was oh so helpful! Check out Chris’s photos at WhimsyGarden.etsy.com
